WELCOME TO THE DYNAMIX CLAN

Thanks for visiting the Dynamites Volleyball Club site. This is a new club (est.2005) intending to go places. Please become our supporter in anyway possible, and see us become Botswana's first volleyball club to go global. We aim to become the country's ideal sports brand that every Motswana can identify with. We aim to set trends. All in all, we aim to revolutionise sports in this country. As you see, we are the first volleyball club in the country to go online. Teams have existed a long long time but we seem set to outdo them in the running of sport even though we were born only this year. So, please be our partner in helping us achieve the goals we are setting ourselves. FOR HELPFUL INFORMATION ON THE CLUB, MOVE YOUR CURSOR UPWARDS AND CLICK ABOUT DYNAMITES

DYNAMITE VOLLEYBALL NEWS

DYNAMITES CURRENTLY LEADING THE MASCOM LEAGUE LOG

MAY 18 2010: Dynamites are currently perched at the top of the league after beating Selibe Phikwe's army side, Spartans 3-0 on May 15 in Mahalapye. Despite the losses to Kalavango and Mafolofolo in the previous games, the team has remained on top and consolidated the lead when they won the Mahalapye game. Dynamites ladies first climbed to the top of the P1million Mascom National League on Saturday 17 April when they beat army side, Diphatsa and Prisons VI by the same margin of 3-0 each. The games were played at the BNPC Courts under scorching heat. Since losing to Zone 6 champions, Kutlwano at the beginning of the league, Dynamites have gone on to lose narrowly to Kalavango and Mafolofolo. The dynamite girls have also beaten other tough opponents like BDF VI and  Mag Stimela. BDF VI were beaten 3-2 in the league opener at Thebe Phatswa Airbase while Mag Stimela were downed 3-1. Poppy Moiseraela aka Lady P was certainly the toast of the fiery Diphatsa game as she attacked, blocked and defended extra-ordinarily well for the entire match. Maipelo Othusitse also rose to the occasion as did Cathrine France. Other players who made the line-up were Dineo, Lesh and Murasta, Kemmonye and newly recruited Boifang Mogotsi.Team captain, Slim-G was in Rakops for her uncle's funeral and in her place was Kesego aka Murasta. Dimpho Seki completed the bench. In Mahalapye on May 15, Dimpho played all three sets for the first time in her Dynamites career and gave a good account of herself. Maipelo won the most points for the team with her serves, at some point scoring 8 points in a row. Cathrine was tactically shifted to the center where she did enough damage. Captain Slim-G once again led by example both in attack and defence. MoRasta stabilised the team's back court with her neat passes while Lesh played one of her best games with improved and accurate sets.

DYNAMITES BEAT RAILWAY SIDE, MAG STIMELA

The Dynamites beat Mag Stimela 3-1 over the weekend in a game the ladies should have easily won in straight sets. Dynamites won the first two sets comfortably but relaxed in the third set, throwing away points through silly mistakes. They paid the price when they came to their senses late and failed to rescue the set out of the clutches of their opponents. It was in the third set that they played with seriousness but still lost concentration towards the end. The team captain, Gillian Slim-G Odirilwe, who sat on the bench the entire match through a stomach muscle discomfort, had to be brought into the fray in the fourth set after Mag Stimela closed the score to 23-23. She scored two late balls to hand the dynamites victory. The starting line up for the Mag Stimela game comprised Lesh, Morasta, Lady P, Maipelo, Cathrine and Dineo. Towards the end of the second set Dimpho was brought in for Maipelo who came back into the game for the third set. Slim-G was then brought in for Maipelo at the end of the fourth set. Also on the bench was UB setter, Kemmonye. The team was coached by Joe-Brown and captained by Lesh.

DYNAMITES BEAT DIPHATSA ON APRIL 17: in the club's forth league game, the dynamites took on Diphatsa in Gaborone and beat them in straight sets. The win saw the dynamites move closer to achieveing their goal of finishing top. Dynamites also played Prisons on the same day.
KUTLWANO PLAYS DYNAMITES IN FRIENDLY: On Friday 26 March at 7pm in the SSG Sports Hall, Dynamites played a training match against Kutlwano and lost 0-3. Dynamites used the game to prepare for their Mag Stimela game the following day. Kutlwano, who had worked on their serves that week, used the chance to test their serving power, and it worked. Dynamites struggled to receive the serves, something which however helped prepare the team for less powerful serves that were to come from their next official opposition. In that training match, Captain Slim-G sustained a muscle tear that would keep her out of the team the following day. K
