NEWS ITEMS OF 2005 WHEN THE CLUB WAS BORN
TOP ONE MAGEU LEAGUE second round games begin in earnest on Saturday 20 August with the Dynamites taking on third-placed Kalavango VC at 2p.m. Kalavango will not take the game lightly as they know they beat the Dynamites in their first round encounter through the latter’s errors, especially loss of serve, rather than good play on their part. Dynamites lost the game 3-1. Dynamites take on Spiking Stars after Kalavango on the same day. On Sunday, BDF 6 will want to revenge against the Dynamites who beat them 3-1 in the first round. BDF former player, Joyce Ogotsitse, is expected to play in that game, but on the opposite side. Joyce has long wished to play volleyball under the guidance of Dynamites President and would have played for Spiking Stars at the beginning of the year as Joe-Brown had succeeded in recruiting her for the club. At the time, Dynamites and Stars were on the verge of becoming one team. Other players expected to make a debut for the club are ITUMELENG MOLEFE, ARGUABLY THE COUNTRY'S BEST SETTER, AND POPPY MOISERAELA. THE CLUB STILL DOES NOT WANT TO SIGN BIG NAMES AS THERE IS A CLEAR VISION OF WHAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE. WE ARE EXCITED THAT WITH OUR MAIDEN PARTICIPATION, WE ARE POSITIONED 5, AHEAD OF TEAMS THAT ARE FIFTEEN YEARS OLDER THAN US. Dynamites are clearing Tapologo Mojadife to go and play for Stars beginning of second round. With the arrival of Joyce in the team, it would be counter-dynavision to keep two players of their age in the team. The youthful squad still lacks that player with experience, whose role would be to guide the younger ones. Tapologo was signed to play that role but was never available at training because domestic commitments, and therefore was never fit to play at matches. She handed her official resignation on Monday 8th. June 12: History made as Dynamites go on to record their first win against Teletswana, arguably the next best team after Mafolofolo - no offence to Kutlwano. The Dynamites victory is convincing (25-10; 25-10; 25-19). The air of pomposity with which Teletswana entered the field melts into thin air. They leave Lobatse a frustrated lot. Remember what they said about us in the DAILY NEWS of Thursday June 9. Club President, Joe-Brown, travels the shortest trip back to Letlhakane. The winning team: Gillian, Tshepo, Tapologo, Boipelo, Mpho and an inspired Tshire. - SECOND DYNAMITES OPPONENTS WERE COUNTRY'S SECOND BEST KUTLWANO ON JUNE 4. DYNAMITES STOLE THE THIRD SET AND NEARLY DID THE FOURTH IN A GAME THEY LOST 3 -1. THIS IS A GOOD SIGN AS IMPROVEMENT IS SHOWING. OUR NEXT OPPONENTS, TELETSWANA, SHOULD HAVE EVERY REASON TO FEEL UNEASY. OUR GIRLS' CONFIDENCE HAS GROWN AND CLUB PRESIDENT WILL BE IN FOR THE TELETSWANA GAME, WHICH MIGHT MOTIVATE THE GIRLS TO VICTORY.
- as expected, Mafolofolo on may 22 had an easy game against the rookies of the top one mageu league - DYNAMITES. however, the club's performance was not a disgrace. the dynaladies braved the show despite a 3 - 0 defeat to their more experienced opponents. Gillian Odrilwe, Boipelo Sefawe, Shinny Mathe, Mpho Radimpe, Tshire Otsogile and captain, Monica Alfred made the first ever Dynamites line-up on the day.
- TOP ONE MAGEU LEAGUE WAS LAUNCHED ON TUESDAY MAY 17 AND FIXTURES AVAILABLE SHOW THAT OUR FIRST OPPONENTS WILL BE MAFOLOFOLO ON SUNDAY MAY 22. THE DEFENDING CHAMPIONS ARE HOT FAVOURITES AND WE HOPE THIS WORKS POSITIVELY ON OUR YOUNG SQUAD. WITH MOST OF OUR PLAYERS PARTICIPATING IN SCHOOL LEAGUES, WE ARE BOUND TO FACE A LOT OF PROBLEMS. ON PAPER, THE SQUAD WE HAVE CAN BEAT ANY TEAM, BUT WE WONT BE ABLE TO USE ALL THESE STARS BECAUSE THE LEAGUE RUN CONCURRENTLY WITH THAT OF TECHNICAL COLLEGES, SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES OF EDUCATION WHERE OUR PLAYERS ARE. WE HOPE BVF LOOKS INTO SUCH ISSUES IN LIGHT OF HELPING RAISE THE STANDARD OF OUR GAMES. Dynamites President and founder, Joe-Brown Tlhaselo, had this to say " I am particularly happy that our first opponents ke Mafolofolo. Not because I feel we will beat them, but because it will be a game where we really have got nothing to lose. If they beat us, well, everybody expected it. If we skin them, we will make news. In the end, our players will learn enough for their next encounter. Good Luck to the coach and players."
- A number of players have been registered from Spiking Stars, Orapa, Diphatsa and in the near future, from Kalavango and BDF 6. Finances are a headache regarding registering all interested players. So, some are going to be left out against our will but based on financial strength.
- DYNAMITES PLAYERS MET OVER THE EASTER HOLIDAYS TO TRAIN IN PREPARATION FOR THE IMPENDING TOP ONE MAGEU LEAGUE. THE TEAM MET IN LETLHAKANE WHERE THE CLUB PRESIDENT IS BASED. THE TRAINING WAS CONDUCTED BY SHOES RAMOCHA AND JOE-BROWN. SOME PLAYERS DID NOT SHOW UP FOR VARIOUS HOLIDAY-RELATED REASONS.
- Dynamites are in the process of registering a number of players from Spiking Stars. Spiking Stars is another club founded by Dynamites founder in 1995 and is based in Ramotswa. There was a deal to merge the teams but administratives issues and short time left before the start of the season caused some problems. However, before the idea, Dynamites had already had these players wanting to join the club.
- DYNAMITES MANAGEMENT WISHES TO CONGRATULATE MR SESUPO MOSWEU ON HIS RECENT ASCENSION TO THE POSITION OF BVF PRESIDENT. OUR CLUB PRESIDENT HAS ESPECIALLY EXPRESSED GREAT SATISFACTION AT THE SUCCESS RATE OF HIS ADMINISTRATION WHEN HE WAS WORKING WITH MOKGETHI TO BRING BACK BETTER THINGS TO VOLLEYBALL. WE HOPE MOSWEU AND HIS LIEUTENANTS WILL DO A LOT TO HELP EMERGING CLUBS LIKE OURS STAND ON THEIR FEET AS IT IS USUALLY DIFFICULT WHEN A CLUB IS STILL A BVF INFANT. TALK ABOUT JOINING FEES, PLAYER REGISTRATION FEES, SUBSCRIPTIONS....... WE SALUTE YOU MR MOSWEU.
